Long Life and Compact Linear Actuators! GSX Series linear actuators combine the advantages of Exlar’s rolller screw technology and T-LAM stator technology to create a powerful and robust linear solution. Exlar uses a specially designed roller screw mechanism for converting electric motor power into linear motion within the actuator. Planetary rollers assembled around the actuator’s extending rod follow threads which are precisely machined on the inside surface of the actuator’s hollow armature. Exlar’s stainless steel GSX20 is shown right.

GS Series Linear Actuators Overview Three families of GS Series Actuators are available to solve your application. GSX The GSX Series linear actuators offer a complete linear actuator solution, in the most compact package, for nearly any application or environment. The GSX Series includes Exlar’s high capacity inverted roller screw technology, offering 15 times the life of similarly sized ball screws. With IP65 sealing and ported for oil or air cooling for added performance, the GSX Series is unmatched in the industry for providing thrust, force and positioning in linear applications. GSM The GSM Series offers a cost effective solution for less demanding applications. With Exlar’s standard capacity inverted roller screw technology, the GSM Series provides travel life 5 times that of similarly sized ball screws. Standard IP54 sealing makes the GSM actuator the ideal solution in place of ball screw actuators for a more compact, longer lasting solution for the same cost. GS The legacy GS Series actuators have been superseded by the GSX and GSM Series, but previously manufactured configurations are still supported by Exlar and full specification information is available.

SL Series Motor & Gearmotor Overview
SLM Series Brushless Motor Exlar’s SLM Series brushless servo motor line offers solutions to rotary applications in motion control. A very compact size/high torque ratio provides outstanding performance even when compared to traditional motion control companies’ products.
SLG Series Brushless Gearmotor Exlar SLG Series gearmotors offer you one of the highest power densities available in motion control. Currently the SLG gearmotors are available in three frame sizes, 60, 90 and 115 mm frames with 1, 2 or 3 stack lengths. Single and double reductions are availble in 4:1, 5:1, 10:1, 16:1, 25:1, 40:1, 50:1, and 100:1. Their unique design is especially valued in applications where weight or space is at a premium. SLG gearmotors are UL Recognized.
